The Best Truly Free Meditation Apps

Meditation apps are a helpful way to build a meditation practice. The audio guidance can be especially valuable for people who have never meditated before, providing all the instruction to get started.

There are tons of great meditation apps, including Calm and Headspace, but the free portions of the app are limited. If you want a truly free app, here are the best ones you can get for iOS and Android.

Oak

For Apple iOS

Oak is not only a 100% free app for iOS, it is also one of the best designed meditation apps available. The app provides guides for meditation, breathing, and sleep. If you want to meditate without guide, it includes a simple timer with some interval chimes.

Oak integrates with Apple Health, so you can track your mindful minutes in the Health App.

Let’s Meditate

For Google/Android

Let’s Meditate is a free mediation app that includes dozens of guided meditations. Meditations are cycled in and out of the app, giving you new meditations to try. Let’s Meditate doesn’t have the same amount of features as other paid apps, but it is completely free. The app is currently supported by donations, so if you enjoy the app, we recommend you show your support.

Pantheon Integration

Oak supports Apple Health, so if you turn on that integration, Pantheon will automatically record the meditation. Let’s Meditate does not integrate with Google Fit, so you will have to manually submit your meditation.
