How to Be One of the Top 25% Most Active People

“Improve your own soul, and be confident that only in so doing can you contribute to the improvement of the larger society of which you are part.”

—Leo Tolstoy

What do you think you would have to do to be in the top 25% most active adults? Run a 5k every day? A triathlon once a month? Crossfit at 4am?

It’s much simpler than that.

To be in the top quarter of most active adults, you need to walk 21 minutes per day and do strength exercises twice a week. These are the CDC’s Physical Activity Guidelines for adults, and only 23% of adults meet these guides.

What are the CDC guidelines exactly? You have a couple of options:

  1. 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercises per week, like brisk walking OR

  2. 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise per week, like jogging AND

  3. Muscle strengthening exercises for your entire body 2 times a week.

More exercise leads to more benefits, and these recommendations are a minimum. If you can hit these benchmarks, you’ll be in the top 1/4 pf physically active adults.

It’s never been easier to stand out.
